In February, the church basement became a construction zone for our construction teams to build a graham cracker house, Barns, Twin Tower, Boat House and anything else their imaginations could think of! Every building this year was exceptionally creative. The construction teams consisted of Mpact Girls as well as Royal Rangers. The teams had a great time, and we raised money for missions! There were 15 houses built in all and the total amount raised was $810.57. This offering was sent to BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) to help with urgent needs worldwide.
Thanks to everyone who supported our annual Pizza Sale! On April 22nd, with the help of many volunteers and kids, we were able to assemble 200 pizzas in under 2 hours to deliver and fill the orders taken! Thanks so much for everyone’s support in this fundraiser. The money made will go to fund the girls going to Great Girls Escape at Spencer Lake in Waupaca, the annual retreat for Mpact Girls and Teen Girl Ministries in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan.
Treasure Your Worth – our annual Mother/Daughter banquet is being held on May 12th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The girls have had a lot of fun decorating and designing a T-shirt on Wednesday night for the banquet. We can’t wait to show them off! We would love all the women/girls to come join us for a memorable evening featuring our girls from Mpact Clubs and Teen Girl Ministries.
Awards night is coming up quickly! Please plan on joining us on May 24th for our final Wednesday service as we recognize all the kids’ achievements over the last year! We will conclude with a sundae treat for everyone!
Great Girls Escape will take place June 23rd through the 25th at Spencer Lake Camp in Waupaca. The girls who have attained honor status will be recognized there as well. The Celebration Service on Saturday morning will again be open to family members and friends who would like to come and watch the honor ceremony. All girls and sponsors who are planning on going, need to be registered by May 23rd in order to attend. See Ruth Carlson for more information on registration.
