Women’s Ministry
I want to share part of an article that I read recently from Today’s Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah. Nothing is as useless as a pair of gloves without hands. They may be made for either high fashion or hard work. But they are limp and idle without a pair of hands. But once fingers fill the fabric and a hand stuffs itself into the material, the glove can do anything that a hand can…
Pastor’s Pen
Pastor’s Pen Who is Jesus? It’s not as easy to answer as you might think. How would you describe Him? How would you explain Him? He’s asking you today, “Who do you say I am?” (Mt. 16:15). The reality is, Jesus is so much more than we realize. The WWJD movement led people to ask, “What Would Jesus Do?” Where it fell short is that it’s easy to convince ourselves that Jesus would do whatever we wanted to do in…
Switch Youth Group
Have you ever thought about the lyrics of our worship songs from the perspective of a teenager or someone who is not familiar with the Bible? They frequently use Christian jargon or make biblical references that many students don’t understand… “the Lion of Judah”, “the God of Jacob”. Our students learned about Jacob. Wow, some students thought they had a complicated family life, but it’s nothing like Jacob’s! God faithfully honored his promise to bless Jacob. We also learned…

We just finished our series on being Transformed! Now we are heading into Beefesians! What is Beefesians? Beefesians takes us into the heart of the West where we are looking for dandy nuggets to help us behave – Ephesians style. We will discover why the book of Ephesians has so much “be” in it. God teaches us to belong, believe, be patient, behave and be strong! Easter Eggstravaganzas are all done for the year, and they were a great…
Royal Rangers Boys Program
Ecclesiastes 10:10 “If the ax is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength; but wisdom to sharpen the ax helps him succeed with less effort.” (Amplified Bible) Discovery Rangers are working on their “Tool Craft” merit badge, so I am thinking of knives and axes. Have you ever tried to cut with a dull ax? It will tire you out real fast, but if you sharpen it, it will cut with ease. The…
Mpact Girls Program
In February, the church basement became a construction zone for our construction teams to build a graham cracker house, Barns, Twin Tower, Boat House and anything else their imaginations could think of! Every building this year was exceptionally creative. The construction teams consisted of Mpact Girls as well as Royal Rangers. The teams had a great time, and we raised money for missions! There were 15 houses built in all and the total amount raised was $810.57. This offering was…

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.…
